2025 graduate Rosemary Monson
When reflecting on her time at Phoenix Academy, 2025 grad Rosemary Monson remembered the caring teachers and fun friends the most. She was an active participant in extra-curricular activities while at Phoenix, playing volleyball and soccer, and participating in the service-learning, and ski and snowboarding clubs. She was also active in the Phoenix chapter of the National Honor Society.
Rosemary is planning to continue her education in the fall at Brigham Young University-Idaho and plans to major in business supply chain with a minor in either mathematics or chemistry.
“I have had many fantastic teachers at Phoenix,” she said. “I am grateful for Mrs. (Madison) Welch, an amazing chemistry teacher, as well as Mr. (Jason) Santor who has been my math teacher every year here at Phoenix and the adviser for the ski and snowboard club. They each created fun and safe learning environments and helped me discover how much I love math and chemistry.”
An avid reader, Rosemary enjoys spending free time with a good book, going on hikes with her family, playing cards, and spending time with friends.
“I’m going to miss the people I’ve met here. I love the caring teachers I have and fun friends I made during the last two years.”
2025 graduate Pamela Watkins
Whether it be the smaller class sizes or the close-knit feel of the graduating class of 31 students, Pamela Watkins has plenty of good things to say about Phoenix Academy.
The recent grad will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall with plans to become a physical therapist.
“I've loved the teachers I've had at Phoenix,” she said. “Mrs. (Amanda) Dilloway, I think she's a great AP history teacher, and because I got a five on my AP World exam, she's getting a small tattoo of something I designed!”
Pamela balances out her free time on weekends, spending time with friends on Saturday and staying home to draw on Sundays. She enjoyed being vice president of the Fine Arts Club.
Congratulations, Rosemary and Pamela!
