It's time for our ANNUAL Detroit Zoo Field Trip on Wednesday, June 3rd! We cannot wait to spend the day with with you to celebrate the end of state testing season and all of your hard work this school year! Please RSVP for the number of STUDENTS attending only!WHO: All K-12 PVA Students and their families WHAT: A Trip to the Detroit Zoo WHERE: 8450 W 10 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48067 WHEN: Wednesday, June 3rd, registration from 9:00 am - 10:00 am WHY: To celebrate the end of the testing season and to connect with other PVA scholars, families, and staff! COST: Parents/Guardians and non-PVA children ages 2+ must purchase their own tickets either in advance online through the Detroit Zoo website or in person at the gate.Zoo ticket costs Adult (13-64) - $17 (advance online) $27 (at gate) Child/Senior Citizen (2-12) and (65+) - $14 (advance online) $24 (at gate) Children under 2 are free Important conditions, please read carefully: *Parents/guardians and NON PVA children are required to pay for their own tickets. *Parents are required to pay for their own parking. Parking passes are $8 per car. *Transportation to and from the zoo will not be provided for students or non-students. *Parents/Guardians are required to chaperone their own children. This rule applies to all students under 18 regardless of grade-level. *Physical tickets will be passed out to you in-person at the PVA table at the front entrance of the zoo when you arrive. Arrival time is IMPORTANT. If you're late you can grab your tickets at the box office. The deadline to RSVP for the field trip is Wednesday, May 27th, 2026. After you complete the RSVP, families will receive a follow-up communication prior to the field trip with important event details, including the exact PVA meeting location at the zoo entrance, check-in instructions, and any additional updates needed for the day of the trip.
