College & Career Readiness
Preparing for What Comes Next
Choosing what happens after high school is a big decision. Every NHA high school has a dedicated college and career counselor who works with students on postsecondary options, career pathways, college applications, and scholarships. Students can also earn college credit before they graduate and visit campuses to see what fits.
100% of NHA high school graduates are accepted to a four-year college.
Dual Enrollment
Through dual enrollment, students earn college credit while finishing high school, getting a head start on college and lowering future costs. Opportunities vary by school, so reach out to your NHA school for details.
Early Middle College
NHA's Early Middle College Program is available to high school students in Michigan. Over five years, students can graduate with an associate degree or certificate, tuition-free.
College Visits & Exploration
Juniors and seniors can schedule approved college visits during the school year and meet with college representatives on campus, so they can compare options before applying.

Graduating from an NHA K–8 school does not guarantee you a seat in one of our high schools. All students, including NHA graduates, must submit a high school application.

Open Enrollment is the golden window of time that gives your child the best odds of getting a seat. You can submit an application for an NHA school after Open Enrollment ends, but your child may end up on the waiting list. Each school's calendar list their Open Enrollment dates.
