Kindergarten is where it all begins. Students develop early skills in reading, math, science, and social studies through hands-on activities and structured routines that build confidence and curiosity.

Beyond core academics, students explore art, music, and physical education, encouraging creativity, movement, and a joy for learning.

Kindergarten is also when students begin developing the values that will shape who they are. Through the Moral Focus™ program, children start learning what it means to be kind, respectful, and responsible, building the character that carries them through every grade ahead.

By the time students leave kindergarten, they are not just ready for first grade. They are building the habits, skills, and values that will support them for years to come.

Elementary school is a time of real growth. Students build on early skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, developing the confidence and curiosity they need to keep moving forward.

In the younger grades, students strengthen core skills and learn how to collaborate and take responsibility for their learning. As they move into upper elementary, the work deepens. Students tackle more complex problems, think critically, and begin preparing for the challenges of middle school.

Throughout every grade, students also develop the values that matter, like respect, responsibility, and teamwork, building the character that supports success in school and beyond.

Middle school is a time of real growth, in learning and in life. Students build on what they know, explore new and challenging ideas, and sharpen their problem-solving skills. They begin connecting classroom lessons to the world around them and take on greater independence in their learning.

This is also when students start thinking more seriously about who they are and who they want to become. Through the Moral Focus™ program, students continue developing the character and values they need to thrive, learning how to navigate challenges, treat others well, and take responsibility for their choices.

The middle school years are a bridge between the foundations of elementary school and the demands of high school. NHA schools are designed to help students make that transition with confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose.

High school is where preparation meets opportunity. Students take on rigorous coursework designed to challenge them and build the skills they need for college and career success.

NHA high schools open doors that go beyond a standard diploma. Students can enroll in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, participate in dual enrollment programs, or earn an associate degree through our Early Middle College program, all tuition-free. These opportunities give students a head start on college credit and real-world readiness before they ever walk across a graduation stage.

Outside the classroom, students grow as leaders and teammates through sports, clubs, and service opportunities. These experiences build the confidence, character, and collaboration skills that matter in college, careers, and life.

When students graduate from an NHA high school, they are prepared for whatever comes next.
