Meet NHA Alum Emma Haigler

Chandler Woods alum Emma is a proud example of what’s possible when students feel supported, challenged and truly seen. Now a senior at Grand Valley State University studying photography and marketing, she shares how Chandler Woods helped her build confidence, develop learning strategies she still uses today, and grow into the person she’s becoming.

From basketball and cross country to Science Olympiad, Emma reflects on the value of getting involved and not being afraid to make mistakes. She also gives a heartfelt shoutout to Mr. Anderson, a teacher and coach who encouraged her to push her thinking, do her best, and keep growing long after middle school.
