Grade Level Placement Model
Video transcript
At National Heritage Academies, we believe every child deserves to learn at the level that helps them grow with confidence. That belief is what guides our placement model. As part of the enrollment process, newly accepted students will take a short grade level placement test. This assessment focuses on reading and math to help us better understand each student's academic readiness, not just their age or the grade they completed previously.
That model of true grade placement was important to me because not only will I figure out where my kids should be, but it also shows where they need to be and to be a true scholar and to be a part of a blue ribbon school. What does that look like? What does that model look like? So for me personally, that was extremely important.
When students are placed at the right level, they often feel more confident and focused. Our placement model allows us to focus on recognizing and nurturing each student's strengths and providing the right challenges and support so they can flourish. Whether a student is ready for advanced work or needs additional time to build foundational skills, we are committed to ensuring every child is placed where they can thrive and reach their highest potential. Families are involved every step of the way, from scheduling the assessment to reviewing results with school leadership to outlining an educational roadmap together.
At National Heritage Academies, we meet students where they are and help them grow from there.
