Academic Excellence You Can See

At National Heritage Academies® (NHA®) partner schools, academic excellence means helping students grow, achieve, and prepare for what's next. Independent research, state assessments, and national recognition show the impact of high expectations, strong teaching, and support that meets students where they are.

Recognition

Recognized for Student Achievement

Additional Months of Learning

A Stanford University study shows NHA students gain an average of three-and-a-half months of learning each year with no additional school days.

That academic growth is also reflected in recognition NHA partner schools receive from national organizations and state education agencies for student achievement, progress, and overall school quality.

U.S. News Best Schools

U.S. News & World Report evaluates schools based on student performance and academic growth. Schools that earn this recognition consistently demonstrate strong results for their students.

State Academic Recognition

State education agencies identify schools that meet or exceed expectations for student achievement and year-over-year academic growth. This recognition reflects sustained progress across grade levels and subject areas.

Challenge at Every Level

Advanced Learning at NHA

Advanced learners thrive in NHA schools because meaningful academic challenges start early. Through the EXCEL-ERATE program in grades K-8, students participate in accelerated learning and deeper thinking activities that strengthen their confidence and sense of responsibility. Middle school students can even earn high school credit.

As students move into high school, they continue to be challenged through college-level coursework, dual enrollment, and programs that allow them to earn college credit before they graduate.

The Highest Standard

Nationally Recognized for Excellence

Several NHA partner schools have earned the National Blue Ribbon School award, one of the highest honors a public school can receive. The U.S. Department of Education gives this award to schools recognized for academic excellence and student growth.
