One National Heritage Academies school is celebrating their incredible girls basketball team once again. The Arbor Preparatory High School Gators won their second consecutive Division 3 state championship by defeating Lutheran Northwest 31-21 on March 22.
The team has four state titles in the past five years and is led by the school’s Athletic Director Scott Stine.
“Over this postseason run we did a terrific job of really controlling tempo and handling the ball,” he said. “Our schedule is always very difficult, and it put some kids in positions we didn’t anticipate, and we took our lumps. But we continued to get better each and every week.”
The team has consistently shown its ability to adapt their style of play to its players’ strengths.
