The NHA CollegeBound™ Scholarship

The NHA difference is about preparing students for a lifetime of success. For elementary students, college opportunity means building a solid foundation in the important formative years, creating unlimited potential for the years ahead. For middle school students, college opportunity means making sure they are prepared to excel in high school. This sets students up for their post-secondary education. Since NHA's commitment extends beyond the 8th grade, the NHA CollegeBound™ Scholarship (CBS) was established to provide four of our eighth-grade students with a one-time $5,000 college scholarship.

Read on to learn how you can take advantage of this amazing opportunity.

The NHA CollegeBound™ Scholarship is open to all currently enrolled eighth-grade students who are attending an NHA school.

Students must write a 300-500 word essay about how their school’s Moral Focus virtues have made a difference in their lives. Essays must be work original to the submitting student and be a response to one of the following questions:
  1. Describe a community service project you completed and explain why it is important from the perspective of applying your morals to help others.
  2. Describe a situation when you applied lessons learned from your school’s Moral Focus curriculum to a specific decision you had to make. Explain your decision-making process.
  3. Explain how your decision to pursue your education in science, technology, engineering, or math was influenced by any of those four criteria.
