Applying for an Alternative Teacher License:

What are the requirements?

According to Colorado’s Department of Education, in order to get an alternative teaching license an individual will need:

  • Complete a four-year bachelor’s degree at a regionally accredited college or university
  • Pass CBI and FBI criminal history background checks
  • Determine the content area you want to teach and if you are qualified
  • Obtain Position and Agreement
