Winterfield Venture Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Toledo serving students in grades K-8. We shape instruction to build on the strengths and abilities of each student and integrate Moral Focus™ lessons into every school day. As a result, our students are well-prepared from kindergarten through eighth grade. A Stanford University study found National Heritage Academies partner-school students gained the equivalent of 3.5 months of additional learning each year compared to peers.

Join us for our Summer Play & Connect event, a fun and welcoming experience for current, new, and prospective families. We encourage families to bring a friend and their parent to enjoy the experience together—this is a great opportunity to introduce someone new to our school community. This event is designed for families to spend time together while students enjoy a fun and engaging environment. Families can take part in playground free play, music, enjoy popsicles and light snacks, and participate in a Moral Focus activity and craft table. During your visit, you will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the school, receive assistance with enrollment or check your current paperwork status, and connect with our team. Whether you are ready to enroll or just exploring your options, we are here to support you every step of the way. Kindercamp is a four‑day introductory program for children entering kindergarten. From August 4th–6th, 8:30–11:30 AM each day, students will participate in engaging readiness activities that support early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and classroom routines. They’ll also meet kindergarten staff, explore the school through guided tours, and begin forming friendships with peers. Breakfast and snack are provided daily. Kindercamp is a great opportunity to ease the transition into kindergarten and help each child start the school year with confidence.
