Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At Summerfield Charter Academy, students can explore their interests, learn new skills and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities. More details about the programs and activities we offer are below.

Activities and Clubs: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Drama Club

Members of this club get an intro to theater arts and learn about acting, play production, and stage work.

Art Club

Young artists come together to practice technique and work on art projects.

Running Club

Young runners are invited to be active together. Fitness, fun events, special incentives and making friends are all a part of our running club.

Spanish

English-speaking scholars are taught basic Spanish in this program. This includes a variety of language activities for verbal and written practice.

National Junior Honor Society

This program was created for outstanding middle schoolers. These students are often recognized for efforts in academics, character, and service.

Science Olympiad

Middle school scientists set goals and compete in science projects. We encourage commitment, group learning and active participation in this program.

English-speaking scholars are taught basic Spanish in this program. This includes a variety of language activities for verbal and written practice.

Musicology

Middle school scholars can take this class to learn many aspects of music. Topics include music in history and various cultures.

Coding

Coding isn't just for college students! With the importance of STEM careers on the rise, we are making sure our students are prepared and ready to code.

NHA Shines: Stanford Study Shows Our Students Surpass Their Peers by 3.5 Months Each Year

A recent Stanford study shows NHA partner-school students continue to outperform their traditional public school peers. They do so by gaining nearly three-and-a-half months of additional learning. NHA also earned the new “gap busters” designation for outstanding progress in eliminating learning disparities for minority and poverty students.
