Throughout the 2016-17 school year Metro Charter Academy students made their own “Metro minion.” Each student decorated their project and wrote down some of their personal attributes as part of Metro’s “Every child is one in a minion” project.
As the school year came to an end, Metro Art Teacher Heather Smith-Elliot reflected on the positive experience that the project provided.
“It was inspiring to see students stop and look at the wall and appreciate the art. Even though it has been on the wall for months, students and adults will stop and look, often noticing a minion that they never noticed before. Students are so excited to point out their own minion to their friends, teachers, and family members. Many parents have taken pictures of their child by their minion on the minion wall.”
