U.S. News & World Report Ranks Greensboro as a Top Three Charter Middle School

Greensboro Academy was ranked third on the Best Charter Middle Schools in North Carolina list, according to U.S. News & World Report in its 2024 school rankings. Greensboro was praised for its middle school math and reading performance. We performed well above expectations in the middle school reading and math categories.

Greensboro Academy was named a Top Ten Charter Elementary and Middle School in North Carolina by Niche, an organization that specializes in data and rankings. Greensboro's Elementary and Middle Schools were ranked second among charter schools in the Greensboro area and were given an overall grade of A+.

Greensboro Academy was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School in 2023. The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program rewards public and private elementary, middle, and high schools for their exceptional academic achievements or for their efforts in reducing achievement gaps among different student groups.

NHA Schools gain nearly 3.5 months of additional learning per year.

NHA Shines: Stanford's CREDO Study Shows Our Students Surpass Their Peers by 3.5 Months Each Year

A recent Stanford study shows NHA partner-school students continue to outperform their traditional public school peers. They do so by gaining nearly three-and-a-half months of additional learning. NHA also earned the new “gap busters” designation for outstanding progress in eliminating learning disparities for minority and poverty students.

Greensboro is a Safe School

Ensuring a safe school environment is crucial for the well-being and development of students, staff, and the broader school community. Greensboro Academy received the NHA Safety Award for the 2022-23 school year for achieving the highest ratings for safety on both the parent and staff surveys. We completed all required safety drills, and participated in the 2022-23 NHA Safety Week, a week set aside to educate staff and students on safety at school.

Greensboro received two Eagle Awards from National Heritage Academies.

Greensboro Receives Two Eagle Awards

National Heritage Academies awarded Greensboro Academy with Student Enrollment and Parent Satisfaction Eagle Awards for the 2022-23 school year. We were recognized for student enrollment because of our strong enrollment numbers. Greensboro earned the parent satisfaction award because at least 90% of our parents stated they were satisfied on the spring 2023 parent survey.
