At Burton Glen, every student is known, challenged, and supported. Our research-backed curriculum and data-driven instruction let teachers meet each student where they are, so your child gets the right level of challenge and the support to grow with confidence. Every classroom is backed by a designated Dean who helps teachers strengthen instruction and gives students extra support when they need it.
Character Development
Through our Moral Focus™ program, character development is part of every school day. Students learn and practice virtues such as respect, gratitude, perseverance, and integrity, applying them both in and out of the classroom. Lessons connect each virtue to everyday actions, so students understand the importance of making good decisions and doing the right thing.
Student Responsibility
Students are held to high standards and learn to take ownership of their choices, actions, and academic growth. In many classrooms, students help create social contracts that set shared expectations for how everyone treats one another, so they see their role in building a positive learning environment.

We believe students thrive when families and schools work together. Burton Glen Charter Academy builds strong partnerships through progress reports each marking period, conferences throughout the year, and opportunities to volunteer and be part of the school community.

Open Enrollment is the designated period when families can apply for the upcoming school year and receive equal consideration for available seats. If we receive more applications than we have seats, a random lottery determines which students are offered a seat and sets the order of the waiting list. If we receive fewer applications than seats, all eligible students are accepted.

The lottery is a random selection process used to fill available seats in each grade level. A lottery is only held if the number of applications received during Open Enrollment exceeds the number of seats available.

If your child is placed on the waiting list, don't be discouraged. Seats often open throughout the spring and summer as families' plans change, and we'll send you monthly updates on your child's status.

If your child is offered a seat, we'll contact you by email and text with next steps to complete registration. Keep your contact information current and opt in to text messages so you don't miss anything, since seats are time-sensitive and we can only hold one for so long.
