Buffalo United Charter School Celebrates with Cultural Show and Academic Awards

When it comes to celebrating, Buffalo United Charter School (BUCS) knows how to get the entire school involved.

The whole school recently came together for a cultural show.

Students from all backgrounds showcased their talents with singing, poems, and speeches about historic African American leaders.

There was also a student emcee who pumped up the crowd in between acts and a special performance from the school’s dance team.

“The support of the community and the hard work that all the students and our scholars put into it is just phenomenal,” said Kristen Brozyna, dean of lower elementary.

But that’s not all. This event was also the perfect opportunity to celebrate the students’ hard work in the classroom.

Buffalo United has outperformed the local district for 12 years, and school leaders recognized the honor roll students with academic awards and school-wide recognition.

Brozyna knows how important events like this are for the whole school.

“It gives our students something to look forward to, and it gives our teachers and staff something to celebrate,” she said.

Keep up the great work, BUCS!
