Dress Code

A flexible and cost effective dress code has been established at our school to encourage academic success while reducing distractions and competition. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.

Uniform Store



K-5: Bright green* (preferred - see below) or white
6-8: White with custom tie*


K-5: Short or long-sleeved polo
6-8: Button-down dress shirt

Cold Weather

May include sweaters or sweater vests that are solid navy or gray.
All cold weather attire must be free of any designs or writing (for example, stripes, wording, etc.).


Shirts must be tucked neatly into bottoms at all times.
Undershirts (t-shirts worn under uniform shirts) must be white, black, or gray and must fit appropriately under the uniform shirts.
Undershirts may not have longer sleeves than uniform shirts.

Navy blue



Boys: Conservative pants or shorts
Girls: Pants, shorts, Capri pants, jumpers or skorts



All bottoms must be either longer than the fingers when the student’s arms hang at her sides or no more than three inches above the knees.
A solid black, navy blue, or brown belt must be worn with all pants and shorts.
(Belt loops may not be removed from pants or shorts to avoid wearing belts.)

Not Allowed

Denim/blue jean material, knit pull-on pants, jogging pants, cargo pants with outside side pockets, corduroy pants, or decorative embroidery.
Leggings or skinny pants.
Overly large clothing that sags down below the waist area.
Carpenter loops or stripes.

Hair & Hygiene

The personal grooming of students should be in accord with the standards set by the uniform dress code. Students should be clean and neat when at school.

Hats, Shoes & Accessories

  • Conservative shoes, including loafer style, dress shoes, or tennis shoes must be worn
    • Shoe colors may be navy, grey, black or brown
    • Shoes must be worn appropriately (i.e., laced and/or strapped all the way for safety purposes)
    • Athletic shoes with non-marking soles are to be worn for P.E. class
    • K–5 girls: heels on shoes may not exceed one (1) inch
    • 6–8 girls: heels on shoes may not exceed two (2) inches
  • Socks/tights must be solid black, brown, white, or navy and worn with shoes
  • Only ears may be pierced - Earrings may not exceed the size of a quarter
  • A reasonable number of earrings and rings are permitted for girls (principal's discretion)

Not Allowed

Hats of any kind or hooded sweatshirts.
Dark and non-prescription glasses.
Any distracting jewelry or rubber bracelets.
Rhinestone, silver ringed, studded or belts with designs - Plain only.
Shoes with wheels or airbrushing, house slippers, or flip flops.
Extreme makeup.

Interpretation of the dress code is at the principal and staff’s discretion, and their decision is final.

Wearing, carrying, and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited.
