Fourth-grade students at Brooklyn Excelsior had the chance to learn about countries from around the world and never stepped outside the classroom. As part of her social studies lesson, Ms. Kristen Hale had students research a country of their choosing, draft a report, and present their findings to classmates and parents.
"This is my favorite lesson to teach," said Hale. "Students do a wonderful job and it is always great to hear their findings."
Students also cooked a traditional dish, from their country, and served during their report.
