South Canton Scholars Earns Top 10 Ranking from U.S. News & World Report

South Canton Scholars has been recognized for its strong academic results and the supportive learning environment it provides students. In the 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings, South Canton Scholars ranked ninth on the Best Charter Elementary Schools in Michigan list.

For families, this recognition reflects more than test scores. It points to a school culture built on academic excellence, clear expectations, and strong partnerships with parents. U.S. News & World Report highlighted South Canton Scholars’ elementary math and reading performance, rating both well above expectations. These outcomes reflect focused instruction and teachers who support students as they build strong academic foundations.

Character development is a central part of the South Canton experience. Through NHA’s Moral Focus™ program, students learn monthly virtues and practice making positive choices in and out of the classroom. In fact, 95% of parents at South Canton say the Moral Focus program has had a positive impact on their child, reinforcing the school’s commitment to developing both strong students and strong character.
