Programs & Activities

Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At Legacy Charter Academy, children can explore their interests, learn new skills and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities. More details about the programs and activities we offer are below.

Activities and Clubs

S.T.E.M.

S.T.E.M. includes: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We use this model to guide our scholars in authentic learning activities.

Community Service

Moral focus virtues are practiced beyond the classroom! Scholars who participate in service projects get the chance to model compassion and courage by working to meet local needs.

Black History Programs

Every February, we celebrate African-American history and culture during school events. Our scholars also celebrate through reading, writing, and art.

Field Trips

Each year we take learning outside the classroom and invite parent volunteers. A variety of age-appropriate outings are planned for our scholars.

Talent Show

A night of fun and festivities for all! Participants compete and celebrate each other's creative talents.

3rd - 5th Grade

Girls on the Run

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum. The program runs for 10 weeks in the spring.

At Legacy, we embrace technology in classrooms and our computer lab. Students may also use tablets during workshops to practice skills they are learning.

Along with academics, our K-8 scholars are also exposed to the arts and more. We offer art, music, technology, and physical education classes each week.
