Dress Code

A flexible and cost effective dress code has been established at our school to encourage academic success while reducing distractions and competition. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.

Uniform Store

Tops

Colors

Bright green or gray 
6-8 students may wear white
Note: A bright green polo purchased only through Image Builders is encouraged
 

Type

Short- or long-sleeved polo
Middle school students have the option of wearing a long or short sleeve white dress shirt with a custom bright green and navy blue striped tie. Ties purchased only through Image Builders are encouraged.
 

Cold Weather

Solid-colored sweaters or vests that are white, navy, burgundy, black or gray. A collared shirt must be worn under sweaters and vests.
 

Add’l

Shirts may have only school logos.
Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
Undershirts must be white and fit appropriately under the uniform shirt (i.e. may not have longer sleeves than uniform shirt).

 

Hair & Hygiene

Colors

Hair must be of natural tones.
 

Style

For boys, hairstyles must be conservative with hair being off the collar.
The personal grooming of students should be in accord with the standards set by the uniform dress code. Students should be clean and neat when at school.

Not Allowed

Extreme hairstyles and colored faux hair are not permitted.

Colors

Type

Pants, shorts, capri pants, jumpers, skirts, and skorts
 

Add’l

All bottoms must be one inch longer than the fingertips when the student’s arms hang at their sides.

Not Allowed

Corduroy, denim materials knit pull-on pants, jogging pants, cargo pants with outside side pockets, or decorative embroidery are not permitted. 
No clothing items may be wrapped around the waist.
Overly large clothing the sags down below the waist area.

Hats & Accessories

Colors

Conservative colored socks or tights must be worn at all times.
Tights must be solid navy or white.
Plain solid black, navy blue, or brown belt with plain buckle must be worn with all pants and shorts.
Navy, black, or brown loafer style or dress shoes must be worn.

A reasonable number of earrings, bracelets, and rings are permitted.

Not Allowed

Hats and head scarves may not be worn in the building.
Belts are not allowed to be decorative.
Body piercing ornaments are not permitted.

Miscellaneous

Add’l

Clothing must fit the individual in a modest fashion i.e. No tight fitting pants, shirts, low cut shirts, etc.

Not Allowed

Clothing may not be ripped or torn. Bare midriffs are not permitted.
Tattoos are not permitted.
Wearing, carrying, and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited.
