Why Burton Glen Charter Academy?

Founded on academic excellence, moral focus, parental partnership, and student responsibility, Burton Glen Charter Academy is a school like no other – one that can lead to a lifetime of success. We set high standards, make expectations clear, and provide a safe and emotionally secure learning environment. In addition, we focus on real-world skills, problem solving, and how to be a good citizen. Our exceptional teachers meet students at their ability level and challenge them to go beyond. Our students also draft a social contract that reinforces their commitment to their school, their teacher, and each other.

"My husband and I are happy with the school and how they teach. We like the accountability and the communication. We like how accessible the teachers are." - Burton Glen Charter Academy Parent

May 19, 2015 Dear Burton Glen Families, 2015 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Notification The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for children was created to serve nutritious meals to children when National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs are not available. Free meals meeting federal nutritional guidelines are provided to all children at approved SFSP sponsor sites. NHA does not sponsor Summer Food Service Programs but prior to the end of the school year our schools are required to notify all student households of the availability of Summer Food Service Programs in their area. The notification your school sends should provide either information about the specific serving site(s) nearest to your school or instructions informing households where they can find SFSP serving site(s) information. There are several ways to find SFSP information, check out for information regarding the National Hunger Hotline and details about Summer Meals for Kids food sites OR see state specific details below for locating SFSP information.
