2017 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Notification The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for children was created to serve nutritious meals to children when National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs are not available. Free meals meeting federal nutritional guidelines are provided to all children at approved SFSP sponsor sites. NHA does not sponsor Summer Food Service Programs but prior to the end of the school year our schools are required to notify all student households of the availability of Summer Food Service Programs in their area. There are a couple of ways to find SFSP information, www.fns.usda.gov/SummerFoodRocks or call the National Hunger Hotline at 1-866-3-HUNGRY A couple of meal sites in the area are: Atherton Elementary School 3444 S. Nutritious free meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at many locations throughout the nation throughout the summer while school is out of session.
