Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At Buffalo United Charter School, children can explore their interests, learn new skills and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities.

Spanish

English-speaking scholars are taught basic Spanish in this program. This includes a variety of language activities for verbal and written practice.

Black History Programs

Every February, we celebrate African-American history and culture during school events. Our scholars also celebrate through reading, writing, and art.

Carnival

At the end of the year we have a school wide carnival! Parents are encouraged to attend this family fun event for all ages.

Talent Show

A night of fun and festivities for all! Participants compete and celebrate each other's creative talents.

3rd - 5th Grade

Girls on the Run

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum. The program runs for 10 weeks in the spring.

National Junior Honor Society

This program was created for outstanding middle schoolers. These students are often recognized for efforts in academics, character, and service.

Art Club

Young artists come together to practice technique and work on art projects.

Chess Club

Chess can increase focus, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Players practice good sportsmanship and use logic in this friendly, competitive club.

Student Council

Our student council members help in a variety of school and community events. The council represents the voice of our students and encourages school pride.

We encourage critical thinking with S.T.E.A.M. - science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. We believe this is just the tip of the iceberg to supporting multi-discipline innovation.

Specials

Along with academics, our K-8 scholars are also exposed to the arts and more. We offer art, music, technology, and physical education classes each week.
