Before & After School Care

YMCA before and after school child care engages children in theme-based activities that support experiential learning and emotional and social skills that are essential for success. Programs provide interest areas that include; homework assistance, arts & crafts, physical activity, nutritional education, group games, and outdoor play.

The B.L.O.C.K. (Building Leaders Out of Canton’s Kids) is a 3,000 square foot, state-of-the-art center, providing after school and youth development programming, transportation, and plenty of fun since 2001! By purchasing one of the programs below you have access to The B.L.O.C.K. kitchen, lounge, quiet study space, leisure activities like pool and foosball table, daily enrichment programming, and much more. Free daily enrichment programs such as tutoring, art, cooking, library, Summit gym, and much more are included with each membership. The B.L.O.C.K. offers a safe, supervised, and social setting for teens ages 11-17. For more information and registration, visit cantonfun.org.

M - Thu: 2:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Fri: 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 

Yes, the Canton Express Shuttle begins every day at 4:30 p.m. and provides transportation to those who live within a 11 mile radius of The B.L.O.C.K. It can drive you home, take you to soccer practice, or pick you up from home. The Canton Express can be combined with the After-School Membership Program or the Drop-In Membership Program.

Tutor Time of Canton mixes independent and organized activities, education and recreation. Our before and after school clubs focus on daily goal setting, team building, homework support, community projects, and self-reflection.

During the school year, we provide a safe, enjoyable place for school-age children to go to before and after school. Educationally based, unique, exciting camps are planned to keep your child active during school breaks. The school-aged program is planned to spark interest in the community around them, express their creativity, build social skills, and enhance their educational development.
