Winterville Named A Top 10 School
We’re excited to announce Winterville Charter Academy has been named one of North Carolina’s top 10 schools out of over 2,700 for the National ESEA Distinguished Schools Award, recognizing their success in closing the achievement gap. The school will be honored at a statewide ceremony in October.

Winterville Charter Academy was honored recently as the “Best Charter School of 2023” in Pitt County, North Carolina. Winterville rose to the top of a list of all charter, private, and non-traditional schools in the county, which includes the county seat of Greenville.

Students Gain More Learning
A study by Stanford University’s Center for Research on Education Outcomes (CREDO) shows students at NHA partner schools gain an average of 3.5 additional months of learning each year compared to their peers in traditional public schools, with no additional days of school. NHA was also recognized as a “gap buster” for helping students make strong academic progress across different backgrounds.
