After a long talk with Finn regarding his placement in school this year, he asked me to write the following letter, and send it to all the teachers and principal of his school. These are his words verbatim. Dear Principal and Teachers of South Arbor Charter Academy, I think the tests are kind of silly, because they can’t tell you very much about the child that you’re testing. I think a better way to do it, would be to determine how well kids do their work every day. How hard we work should matter more than the tests. Some kids struggle, but they work hard. Kid’s hard work should be the most important. But I suppose it’s your choice. Finnegan Murphy, 2nd Grade.
The Back to School Carnival is so much fun! Thank you to all of our families for coming out to meet the teachers and play with friends.
