Celebrate the start of Friends of GR Parks spring planting season at ArborFest, presented by ITC! This marks the 10th annual tree-planting event in partnership with the Mayor's Greening Initiative and the City of Grand Rapids and River City Scholars is honored to be the host site!This year we are planting 200 trees in the Boston Square and Oakdale neighborhoods. Friday, April 25: 1-4pm (100 trees) - Join us for the kick off with speeches from community leaders, witness our scholars planting trees, and celebrate Arbor Day! Saturday, April 26: 9am-12pm (100 trees) - Join us for a community celebration with free treats, help us plant trees, and celebrate with your neighborhood and visit community resource tables. Please join us as we celebrate this amazing opportunity for our community!
