Our Orion Scholars are shining!
Saturday's 2nd Annual Family STEAM Fair and Science Invitational was a major success!! Students from Orion Academy and Lakota represented Hamilton County well with their science projects. 28 entries, 9 presenters, and 3 advanced to the University of Cincinnati's Regional Science Fair, by earning a Superior rating!! I'm so proud of each of our students! They articulated their findings well and founs an excitement about science they never had before. Thank you to Brad Lanier and the several students from UC that helped guide the students! Also the partnership with Orion Academy, under the leadership of Kendall Dorsey, made the event possible! DOCERE'S students will also be involved in the NAACP's ACT-SO (Science Olympiad) this coming spring.
