Dress Code

Below is our approved dress code for the 2024-25 school year. The dress code at Johnston Charter Academy is flexible, affordable, and designed to encourage student success. With less distractions and competition, our scholars can focus better in school.

Uniforms may be ordered through the Uniform Store. If you need help paying for uniforms, contact the front office to discuss options.

Tops

  • Long or short-sleeve bright green, navy blue, or white polo
  • Students may also wear solid navy blue sweaters, fleeve, light jackets, and vests
     

Bottoms

  • Solid navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, jumper, or scooter

6-8 Students

       
 
 

Tops

  • Long or short-sleeve white dress shirt with custom navy blue/bright green tie
  • Long or short-sleeve bright green, navy blue, or white polo
  • Students may also wear solid navy blue sweaters, fleeve, light jackets, and vests

Bottoms

  • Solid navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, jumper, or scooter

P.E. Uniforms

Middle school students must wear gray t-shirts and navy blue shorts or navy blue track pants. Approved P.E. gear is available for sale through the JCA Spirit Store.

Shoes

Shoes must be loafer style, dress shoes, tennis shoes, or closed-toe sandals. Rubber shoes with holes are not permitted.

Belts, if worn, must be plain solid black, navy blue, or brown.

Socks must be solid black, brown, navy blue, or white.

Tights and leggings worn underneath uniform bottoms must be solid white or navy blue.
