Ranked Among Michigan's Top Charter High Schools
Niche, an organization that specializes in school data and rankings, named Grand River Preparatory High School the #5 charter high school in Michigan for 2026 and the #3 charter high school in Grand Rapids. The school also earned a #2 Niche Standout High School ranking and an overall grade of A- on Niche's report card.

Michigan College Month Champion
The Michigan College Access Network named Grand River Prep a Michigan College Month Champion, one of 59 schools statewide where 80% or more of seniors applied to at least one college.
2024 College Success Award
GreatSchools.org recognized Grand River Prep with a 2024 College Success Award, given to schools that excel at preparing students for life after high school. The award looks at whether graduates enroll in college, are ready for college-level work, and stay enrolled into their second year.
College Board AP Gold Medal
Grand River Prep earned a Gold Medal from the College Board for strong student outcomes on Advanced Placement exams, and has held Gold or Platinum recognition for three consecutive years.

Students Gain More Learning
A study by Stanford University’s Center for Research on Education Outcomes (CREDO) shows students at NHA partner schools gain an average of 3.5 additional months of learning each year compared to their peers in traditional public schools, with no additional days of school. NHA was also recognized as a “gap buster” for helping students make strong academic progress across different backgrounds.
