A flexible and cost effective dress code has been established at our school to encourage academic success while reducing distractions and competition. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.
Long or short-sleeved bright green or navy polo
Navy blue cardigan sweater is optional
Skirts for girls and shorts for boys and girls
White oxford button-down, collared shirts (rounded collar for girls). Students must also wear a custom bright green/navy tie (both boys and girls).
8th graders must wear a navy blue blazer

Shoes must be solid-colored black dress shoes or any color athletic shoes. Boots must be ankle high or fit underneath the pants to be worn throughout the day.
Black, solid navy, or solid white socks or tights.
Solid black, navy blue, or brown belts are permitted.
All students must wear the Detroit Premier gym uniform on PE days. The gym uniform is available for purchase in the school’s main office. The uniform consists of Detroit Premier logo t-shirt, sweatpants, and sweatshirt. The gym uniform can be worn the entire day on a scheduled PE day.
Detroit Premier Academy participates in Spirit Day every Friday. Students are permitted to wear DPA spirit shirt and jeans and gym shoes. Jeans must be blue or black only.
Jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts, and coats may not be worn during the school day.
