The school welcomed a wildlife exhibit for Kindergarten and first-grade scholars, and they were eager to get a look at some unique animals. Among the amazing sights were an owl soaring around the school gym and a variety of snakes and turtles.

Students also had the chance to touch and learn about reptiles. This hands-on experience showed these young students what the animals they learn about are like in person. Students used their curiosity to spark meaningful discussions about animal habitats, behavior, and conservation.
The assembly also allowed students to practice some of the things they’ve learned through Moral Focus™, the backbone of National Heritage Academies’® character-focused curriculum. When interacting with these creatures, students practiced virtues such as respect, self-control, and compassion.

Detroit Premier Admissions Representative Rachael Cash-Dail said students and staff couldn’t stop smiling.
“Events like these reflect Detroit Premier’s commitment to creating engaging, memorable learning opportunities that inspire our students beyond the traditional classroom,” Cash-Dail said.

Students were exposed to animals they’d never seen before, expanding their imagination and appreciation for nature. With this combination of hands-on learning and fun, it was an unforgettable day.
“It was truly a day of discovery,” Cash-Dail said. “It’s one our students won’t soon forget!”
What a spectacular opportunity! Keep up the great work, Detroit Premier!
