Cross Creek Charter Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Byron Center serving students in grades Y5-8. We shape instruction to build on the strengths and abilities of each student and integrate Moral Focus™ lessons into every school day. As a result, our students are well-prepared from young 5s through eighth grade. A Stanford University study found National Heritage Academies partner-school students gained the equivalent of 3.5 months of additional learning each year compared to peers.

Spring is in the air, and we’re egg-cited to invite you to the NHA Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt! Join us for a fun-filled celebration for children and families from our school community and beyond. This FREE community event at Grand River Preparatory High School will include a festive Egg Hunt with age-designated areas for children ages 0 - 5th grade, family-friendly activities and games, photo opportunities with our Bunny, prizes and treats, and a chance to connect with NHA staff, families, and neighbors. Join us for the festivities with an outdoor egg hunt, weather permitting (or indoors if needed), packed with fun for children ages 0–5th grade—so bring your baskets, invite your friends, and enjoy a joyful morning of springtime fun. The lottery for the next school year (2026-27) was held via livestream on Tuesday, March 3 at 9:00 a.m. To view the livestream, please click on the livestream link below.
Lottery results will be communicated directly to families via email, text, and mail. Student enrollment is updated daily and your child's status reflected in the livestream may no longer be accurate. Waiting list updates with your child's status will be sent out from the school on a monthly basis.
