Ginger Florida – 2023 CollegeBound™ Scholarship winner
Ginger shared that learning about Moral Focus virtues has helped her not only in the classroom but also in her life outside of school.
In her essay, Ginger described challenges she had during second grade and how she overcame them using the Moral Focus virtues she learned at Chandler Woods, such as courage and perseverance.
“Being taught that perseverance and courage can get you out of the woods fueled my push for the end of the hard journey. Moral Focus impacts students, not only academically and inside school but also in real situations outside of school.”

Ginger Florida – 2023 CollegeBound™ Scholarship winner
Ginger’s eighth-grade teachers at Chandler Woods Charter Academy shared that she shows excitement with every activity and works hard in class, adding she is contagious to be around with her fun and vibrant personality.
The CollegeBound™ Scholarship Program is managed by an independent program administrator. Scholarship considerations include academic performance, community involvement, and a written essay. Through the application process, scholars can share about the experiences that have shaped them and the people who have influenced their lives – from community service to the real-world application of Moral Focus virtues to defining moments in the decision to pursue a STEM-based education.
Funding for the scholarship is provided through NHA employee contributions, people who believe in NHA’s mission to help every child achieve their dreams.
