Educational Trips Abroad

During Spring Break, Canton Prep returned back to Greece and Italy. We had 5 sunny days in Greece where we visited many landmarks including the Parthenon, Olympic Stadium, Arch of Hadrian, Temple of Apollo, and Meteora Monasteries. During the 5 days in Italy we saw the Ponte Vecchio, Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Colosseum, down into Catacombs, threw a penny in the Trevi Fountain, and went into the Vatican City to see the Sistine Chapel.

During Spring Break of 2023, Canton Prep partnered up with other NHA high schools and experienced their first trip to Africa by spending eight days in Egypt! The coolest highlight of the trip was riding camels right next to the Great Pyramid. We also experienced a three-day cruise up the Nile River, stopping off at various cities to see all the culture and history that Egypt has to offer.

One of the most fun and thrilling activities was white water rafting while it was raining! Other fun activities included taking a boat to a sandbar in the middle of the Caribbean Sea and zip lining through the forest.

Our second international trip took us on a four-day trip to Paris, followed by a four-day trip to Barcelona. Paris was as beautiful as we all imagined, seeing the Eiffel Tower lit up at night while riding a boat on the river before also seeing the rich history of the Louvre Museum. The trip only got better experiencing all the beauty, culture, fun, and energy that Barcelona has to offer with its beaches, history, shops, and experiences.

Canton Prep's first international trip was to experience the culture of Costa Rica! We spent eight days over Spring Break in 2017 visiting volcanoes, hot springs, beaches, zoos, Costa Rican high schools, and more.
