Welcome to Canton Preparatory High School

At Canton Prep every student is known, challenged, and supported. Our research-backed curriculum and data-driven instruction let teachers meet each student where they are, so your child gets the right level of challenge and the support to grow with confidence. As students move into the high school grades, they take on Advanced Placement courses, dual enrollment, and Career Tech programs that let them explore interests and prepare for what comes after graduation.

Through our Moral Focus™ program, character development is part of every school day. Students learn and practice virtues such as respect, perseverance, courage, and integrity, applying them both in and out of the classroom. As students get older, lessons shift toward real-world application, helping them use sound judgment as the decisions they face grow more complex.

Students are held to high standards and learn to take ownership of their choices, actions, and academic growth. That responsibility grows with them, from shared classroom expectations in the middle grades to leadership roles, community service, and college and career planning in high school. By graduation, students have had real opportunities to lead, serve, and take charge of their own path.

We believe students thrive when families and schools work together. Canton Prep builds strong partnerships through progress reports each marking period, conferences throughout the year, and opportunities to be part of the school community. As students take on more independence in the high school grades, the College Readiness Dashboard gives families visibility into attendance, grades, and progress toward graduation.

Clear expectations and consistent routines create a safe, focused environment where students can do their best work. A dress code policy helps students stay focused and present themselves with confidence, and safety procedures balance growing independence with clear accountability. As students move through the high school grades, they learn that more freedom comes with more responsibility.
