Atlanta Heights Charter School has named Alisha Fisher principal for the 2018-19 school year. Fisher previously served as middle school dean of the local charter school for the past four years.
“I am truly honored to serve as the new principal of Atlanta Heights Charter School,” said Fisher. “I look forward to working with the devoted staff to provide a paramount educational program for our students.”
Prior to her time at Atlanta Heights, Fisher served as an instructional coach, math facilitator, and elementary classroom teacher. She earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Clark Atlanta University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership and an educational specialist certification from Nova Southeastern University. Fisher also completed the National Heritage Academies Principal Prep Program where she further developed her leadership skills.
Atlanta Heights Charter School has selected “Soar to New Heights” as its theme for the 2018-19 school year.
“Daily we want to prepare students both socially and academically,” Fisher said. “We want them to be problem solvers, risk takers, college bound, and destined for greatness. It is our goal as a staff to work with our parents and ensure the success and happiness of every Atlanta Heights student.”
