Thank you for your interest in the Atlanta Heights Charter School Scholarship.

You will need to gather the following information to complete the application: 
  • High School transcripts to date
  • Student's extracurricular activities, honors and awards, and community involvement information

An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering:  
  • Essay content  
  • Academic achievements and records
  • Eligibility requirements

Note: The application may be filled out by either the student or parent/guardian. While the form can be completed by students, a parent/guardian is required to agree to the capital terms and condition of the application upon submittal.

Who is eligible to apply? 

To be eligible for this award, you must: 
  • Have attended AHCS for a minimum of 2 years
  • Have graduated eighth grade from AHCS

What are the selection criteria?

An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering:
  • Essay submission

  • Eligibility requirements
Decisions of the selection committees are final and are not subject to appeal. No application feedback will be given.

 

What are the details of the award? 

  • A one-time scholarship in the amount of $500-$1,000 will be awarded to applicants that meet the selection criteria
  • The scholarships are to be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for course load at accredited, two- or four-year colleges/universities in the United States
 

Is this scholarship renewable?  

No. 

 

How and when will I receive notification? 

Notifications are sent to the email used to submit the application and scanned documents.

 

What are my responsibilities if I am chosen as a recipient? 

You must provide proof of high school graduation and proof of acceptance and registration at a college/university to receive the scholarship award.

 

How and when are checks issued? 

Checks will be issued after proof of graduation and proof of acceptance and registration at a college/university is received. Recipients will also need to submit a W-9 form.
