Behind the Program
College Counseling at NHA
Koree Woodward, Director of High Schools at NHA, explains how our college and career counselors work one-on-one with students and families through four years of planning, applications, financial aid, and graduation requirements.
Academic Planning
Tools and Resources for Your Teen's Plan
From course selection to transcripts, here's what students and families need to stay on track through high school.
Scheduling
Choosing the right courses each year keeps your teen on track for graduation and strengthens their college applications. Our counselors help students build a plan and stay organized along the way. Course scheduling and registration happen school-wide twice each academic year.
Curriculum
Wellspring Prep follows a rigorous, college-prep curriculum designed to prepare every graduate for what comes next. Students interested in online courses should see the school registrar, and Michigan's online course catalog lists what's available.
Order Transcripts
Official high school transcripts are ordered through Parchment. If you already have an account, log in below. If not, visit Parchment's site, search for Wellspring Preparatory High School and create one. Contact the school office with any questions.

Grand Rapids Promise Zone
A Tuition-Free Path to College
Wellspring Prep is proud to be part of the Grand Rapids Promise Zone, which offers eligible students a tuition-free path to Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC). To qualify, students must both live in and attend a school within Grand Rapids city limits.
Eligible students apply to GRCC and complete the FAFSA to receive the scholarship. A dedicated Promise Zone coordinator visits Wellspring weekly to guide students through college planning, financial aid, and next steps, whether they choose GRCC or another college. GRCC also partners with us to host FAFSA nights, which are open to all seniors.
Exploring Options
Campus Visits
Seeing a campus in person helps students figure out what they want, and Wellspring Prep gives juniors and seniors two ways to do it. Students can visit colleges of their choice, and college representatives come to campus to present throughout the year.
Juniors and seniors receive two excused absences each year for campus visits. To get the excused absence, complete the forms with the front office two weeks before the visit.
To attend a college presentation at Wellspring Prep, sign up in the College Counseling office by the Friday before the presentation.
