Walker Charter Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Michigan serving students in grades Y5-8. We shape instruction to build on the strengths and abilities of each student and integrate Moral Focus™ lessons into every school day. As a result, our students are well-prepared from young 5s through eighth grade. A Stanford University study found National Heritage Academies partner-school students gained the equivalent of 3.5 months of additional learning each year compared to peers.

This exciting gathering provides a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and enjoy a variety of carnival games, face painting, and activities that celebrate our school spirit and strengthen our sense of community. Wristbands for the games are available for pre-order at $10 each through April 15. After that date, wristbands will be available for purchase at the door for $15 each. During the screening, children will meet several of our teachers and staff members while participating in age-appropriate activities designed to help us get to know them. Following the screening, families are welcome to enjoy outdoor activities, including face painting and playground time. This event also provides a wonderful opportunity for families to meet and connect with one another as they begin their journey at Walker Charter Academy.
