Timberland Celebrates Black History Month

February is Black History Month, and scholars at all National Heritage Academies (NHA®) schools celebrated and learned about Black pioneers, culture, and history. These celebrations included student performance, family involvement, and plenty of fun.

Student Leadership Opportunities

Providing students with leadership opportunities plays a critical role in fostering personal growth, community involvement, and academic success. Timberland Charter Academy offers student leadership opportunities such as:

Building Healthy Communities


 
Timberland Charter Academy participates in the Building Healthy Communities elementary school program, which helps our students establish the knowledge and behaviors needed for a healthy lifestyle.

The Building Healthy Communities Program is administered by the Center for School Health at Wayne State University in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the United Dairy Industry of Michigan and the Michigan Fitness Foundation.
