Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At Timberland Charter Academy, students can explore their interests, learn new skills, and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities. Learn more about what we offer below.
Technology
We offer one-to-one technology, with each student receiving their own Chromebook.
Specials
Along with academics, our scholars will be exposed to the arts and more. We offer specials like music, PE, technology, and visual arts.
Electives
Our 4th-8th grade scholars will be able to choose elective classes. We offer music, PE, social emotional, and visual arts. Not all electives are available for all grades.
In-School Programs
In addition to specials and electives, Timberland Charter Academy also offers other in-school program activities such as: Black History Programs and Student Council.
Building Healthy Communities
The Building Healthy Communities Program is administered by the Center for School Health at Wayne State University in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the United Dairy Industry of Michigan and the Michigan Fitness Foundation.
