Summerfield Preparatory Academy Construction Progress
As part of Summerfield Charter Academy’s expansion to a full K–12 school, Summerfield Preparatory Academy will open in Fall 2027 in a new building for middle and high school students. We will begin with grades 7–9 and add one grade each year until serving students through grade 12. This gives Summerfield families a clear path from kindergarten through graduation. We’ll share regular updates below so you can follow along and watch our new school take shape.

Construction at Summerfield continues to make good progress. The land has been cleared, and work has been completed to help manage rainwater and prepare the site for the next phase of construction. Crews have also started preparing for utility and drainage work, with materials now on site. We are currently waiting for final approval from the Guilford County Health Department before the building permit can be released. Once that approval is received, construction on the school's foundation will begin. We look forward to sharing more updates as we continue building!

Summerfield Prep Groundbreaking
Summerfield Charter Academy and Greensboro Academy came together to break ground on Summerfield Preparatory Academy.
