South Canton Raises 6,000 Diapers and Wipes for Greater Detroit Area

South Canton Scholars Charter Academy hosted a week-long diaper drive and raised approximately 6,000 diapers and wipes. The South Canton Scholars National Junior Honor Society wanted to help Natural Momma Me’s cause.

The Natural Momma Me Initiative is a non-profit organization catering to the needs of mom and baby. They provide diapers, both cloth and disposable, to low-income families.

“South Canton Scholars are dedicated to helping our community, and being able to provide assistance to families that might otherwise not be able to have access to safe and adequate infant care is important to us,” said Megan Mitchell, academic math specialist at South Canton Scholars Charter Academy.

Younger students were excited to help less fortunate families by bringing in a box of diapers or wipes.

Great work, South Canton Scholars!
