First Day of School: Young 5s & Kindergarten Family WelcomeWe’re so excited to welcome our youngest Knights to South Arbor Charter Academy! To help make this big milestone feel a little more special—and make the transition to school a little easier—we’re offering Young 5s and Kindergarten families a special opportunity on the first day of school only.Families will be able to walk their child to the front door, take pictures, meet their teacher, and help them get settled before beginning their first day.First Day Schedule8:20 a.m. | Arrive & Park Young 5s and Kindergarten families should arrive and park at school at 8:20 a.m.If your child has an older sibling, the older student must be dropped off through the normal drop-off process first. After dropping off your older student, you may park and walk your Young 5s or Kindergarten student to the front door.8:20–8:30 a.m. | Walk Up & Welcome Walk your child to the front door, take those first-day pictures, and greet your child's teacher. We’ll have extra staff outside to help families find the right teacher and classroom.Parents may also drop off school supplies at this time. Our staff will be available to help get supplies to the classrooms.8:30 a.m. | Time for Class! Students will walk with their teachers to the classroom and begin their first day of school. Parents will say goodbye at the door.A few things to know: You do not need to bring all school supplies on the first day. Supplies can be sent in a little at a time throughout the first week.Our PTO will also be set up in the Parent Room for families who would like to learn more about volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved throughout the school year.We’re so excited to give our South Arbor families the opportunity to walk their child into school on their very first day.
