Programs & Activities

Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At South Arbor Charter Academy, students can explore their interests, learn new skills and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities. More details about the programs and activities we offer are below.

Activities and Clubs

S.T.E.M.

S.T.E.M. includes: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We use this model to guide our scholars in authentic learning activities.

Science Olympiad

Middle school scientists set goals and compete in science projects. We encourage commitment, group learning and active participation in this program.

Chess Club

Chess can increase focus, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Players practice good sportsmanship and use logic in this friendly, competitive club.

Book Fair

This school-wide event is a great chance for our students to shop for new books. You'll find many titles in a wide range of interests and levels, including popular authors and series.

Multicultural Fair

Students and families are invited to join us and celebrate diversity. Our cultures are shared with music, food, history and fun!

3rd - 5th Grade

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum. The program runs for 10 weeks in the spring.

Drama Club

Members of this club get an intro to theater arts and learn about acting, play production, and stage work.

This program was created for outstanding middle schoolers. These students are often recognized for efforts in academics, character, and service.

Our music classes give kids the opportunity to express themselves through music and teamwork. Band students in middle school participate in a variety of lessons in wind, brass and percussion instruments.
