Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At South Arbor Charter Academy, children can explore their interests, learn new skills and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities.

STEM

S.T.E.M. includes: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We use this model to guide our scholars in authentic learning activities.

Community Service

Moral focus virtues are practiced beyond the classroom! Scholars who participate in service projects get the chance to model compassion and courage by working to meet local needs.

Boy and Girl Scouts

Our scout members learn important skills that they can use for life. Duties include engaging in community events, aiding others through acts of service, and growing in leadership.

3rd - 5th Grade

Girls on the Run

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum. The program runs for 10 weeks in the spring.

Drama Club

Members of this club get an intro to theater arts and learn about acting, play production and stage work.

We offer band for our students to express themselves through music and teamwork.

Our choir program includes lessons in choral singing, musical terms, and vocal skills.

Spanish

English-speaking scholars are taught basic Spanish in this program. This includes a variety of language activities for verbal and written practice.

National Junior Honor Society

This program was created for outstanding middle schoolers. These students are often recognized for efforts in academics, character, and service.

Science Olympiad

Middle school scientists set goals and compete in science projects. We encourage commitment, group learning and active participation in this program.

Art Club

Young artists come together to practice technique and work on art projects.

Our music classes give kids the opportunity to express themselves through music and teamwork. Band students in middle school participate in a variety of lessons in wind, brass and percussion instruments.

Spotlight: Principal for the Day

Pierce Dzanbazoff, a second-grade student at South Arbor Charter Academy, took over the position of principal last week. In his one day tenure as principal, he changed the dress code, ordered an extra recess, and gave away Moral Focus awards.
