Teachers, secretaries, custodians, parents, and other family members served students with a variety of foods intended to fuel brain function, such as fresh fruit, waffles, pancakes, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, and more.

“Ever wonder how Riverton Scholars have outperformed the district for 13 years?” Riverton Spanish Teacher Maria Angelica Jean-Pierre asked, rhetorically. “Look no further than our Principal Andrea Whitehurst's exhortation through our loudspeaker, supportive parent volunteers serving breakfast, our encouraging attire, and positive posts reminding scholars to ‘Don't Stress!’ and ‘You Got This!’”

Ensuring students have a good breakfast and encouraging words before tests can help ease the stress often associated with testing season, and to see everyone get involved is a testament to the success of this special school.

Great work preparing scholars for success, Riverton!
