U.S. News & World Report: Plymouth Scholars Ranks in Top 10 for Best Charter Middle, Elementary Schools in Michigan

Plymouth Scholars ranks fourth Best Charter Middle School in Michigan, according to U.S. News & World Report in its 2022 school rankings. The elementary school ranked second place on the charter elementary list.

“We’re excited to see recognition for the hard work our students, teachers, and staff have put in to accomplish these high marks,” NHA President and CEO Brian Britton said. “All of our schools are focused on teaching children to be their best, and we appreciate the trust their parents have in us to accomplish that task.”

This marks the inaugural “Best” middle and elementary school lists created by U.S. News & World Report, while their high school and college-focused lists have been go-to resources for parents and students for years.

Rankings were determined by analyzing math and reading proficiency, state assessments and how schools performed compared to expectations. State assessments from the 2018-19 school year were used to limit the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on test results.

“Our students excel in their classroom environment because of the well-rounded curriculum they’re provided,” Britton said. “Combining traditional studies with a character-based approach to learning through our Moral Focus values helps these young people find success in whatever they choose to do.”
