Pembroke Academy: A Great Choice in Detroit
Pembroke Academy students continue to excel in the classroom, achieving academic gains not seen by any other Michigan school over the past four years. In addition to earning “A” letter grades for student growth and performance, 92% of eighth-graders were proficient on the state test in English Language Arts in 2022-23. The year prior, 2021-22, 100% of eighth-graders were proficient in ELA. Even more notable is that Pembroke Academy outperformed 94% of schools in Michigan on the 2022-23 state test. It also was ranked the #1 school in Detroit for 2021-22, according to the Michigan School Index.

Pembroke Academy received the NHA® Safety Award for the 2024-25 school year for achieving the highest ratings for safety on both the parent and staff surveys.
