Among those remarkable leaders is Principal Kacey Gorman of Peak Charter Academy, who was nominated by Peak Parent Ambassador Jessica Ibrahim as a true "Visionary Innovator."
Principal Gorman’s leadership at Peak Charter Academy goes far beyond managing programs and day-to-day operations. As part of the Peak community for nearly 10 years, she has established a clear, driving vision that shapes every interaction, decision, and learning experience.
A Vision Built on Relationships and Purpose
What sets Principal Gorman apart is her deep understanding that meaningful educational growth begins with authentic connection. She balances high standards with genuine care for her staff, students, and families.
As Jessica noted in her nomination, Principal Gorman approaches leadership with a unique blend of empathy and direction.
"Principal Gorman leads with a rare combination of grace, compassion, and purpose," Ibrahim shared. "She cares deeply about her staff and makes it a priority to ensure they feel supported, valued, and heard."
This relational approach extends directly into her vision for continuous growth and innovation.
"What I admire most is that Principal Gorman never separates innovation from relationships," Ibrahim added. "She understands that meaningful change happens when people feel valued, supported, and connected to a shared purpose."
By encouraging her team to look beyond tradition and imagine what is possible, Principal Gorman inspires staff and students alike to strive for excellence every day.

Steve Pond, Director of School Quality (DSQ), has observed firsthand how Principal Gorman’s consistency builds incredible trust throughout the entire community.
"One thing I've learned and love about Principal Gorman is that she consistently ensures her actions and reactions are aligned with both NHA's core values and the value statements in place at Peak," Pond explained. "She teaches and refers to these regularly, and this consistency, along with her ethical responses to questions and issues that arise, allows her to earn the respect and buy-in from students, staff, and parents."

On staff for nearly a decade at Peak, Principal Gorman has truly shaped the school’s culture into one where everyone can thrive. Her leadership creates stability, trust, and confidence among the board, families, staff, and students.
Pond highlighted that while her vision guides the school day to day, her character shines brightest when navigating difficult circumstances.
"Kacey's leadership shines regularly, but especially in times of challenge, or even crisis," Pond remarked. "This is when her community's trust in her is most tested, and when her stakeholders' confidence in her is most rewarded. She is a calm, thoughtful, reflective, and morals-driven leader."
